How to apply for a Kentucky Travel Form, Kentucky’s travel restrictions
FourFourSeconds ago, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of a law that requires travelers to submit to photo ID at the border, or risk being turned away at the gate.
Now, a new Kentucky travel form is making its way around the state.
In a sign of how quickly Kentucky’s strict new travel rules have been adopted, a petition on Change.org was launched Monday asking for the state to remove the photo ID requirement from its travel forms.
The form would instead ask travelers to provide a driver’s license, which would allow people to travel to the state without having to show identification.
The petition has already garnered over 2,000 signatures.
The request has also drawn attention from the U,S.
Department of Homeland Security and the Kentucky Tourism Office, which are already planning on issuing travel advisories for the states affected by the new restrictions.
Kentucky has the highest rate of people who have been shot and killed at the hands of law enforcement in the country.
A recent survey found that 22 percent of all Kentucky residents had experienced a shooting, and more than one-quarter of those people had been shot in the last year.
Kentuckians are also likely to experience increased crime at home as they move from the state into new places.
While the majority of people living in Kentucky have never been arrested, a 2016 survey of the state found that 28 percent of people had had a gun or knife in the home in the past year.
